Useful Harvest for Yahweh
Today we’re going to think about what kind of harvest Yahweh is expecting from us. We start with a story told by Yeshua in:
Matthew 13:1-9
That day Yeshua went out of the house and was sitting by the sea. And large crowds gathered to Him, so He got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd was standing on the beach. And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.”
Yeshua is telling a parable to the people. A parable is an simple story used to teach an important moral or spiritual lesson. We’re going to find out what the good soil is in the story. Let’s read:
Matthew 13:23
And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”
Good soil is the man or woman who hears the Word of Yahweh, understands it and starts to think and do according to the Word of Yahweh that he or see heard.
Bad soil is the man or woman who hears the Word of Yahweh, but doesn’t understand it.
Bad soil is the man or woman who hears the Word of Yahweh, loves it but forgets it as soon as Yahweh’s Word becomes inconvenient for him or her.
Bad soil is also the man or woman does understand it, but don’t think and act according to the Word of Yahweh that he or she heard.
We’re going to read another parable also told by Yeshua.:
Matthew 13:24-30
Yeshua presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Also this parable Yeshua explained to His disciples. We continuous reading in:
Matthew 13:36-43
Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” And He said, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the world; and as for the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
The field is the world. The world is a good soil. Yeshua is the sower of the good seeds. The devil is the sower of the bad seeds. Yahweh’s people are the good seeds. The rest are the bad seeds. This tells us also that before we are born it’s already clear if our purpose is to do the good work for Yahweh’s Kingdom or to be a child of satan whose purpose is to destroy.
Satan tries to make the work of Yahweh’s people fruitless. Worse he even tries to kill them before they start to work for Yahweh’s Kingdom. He distracts them, he let them loose their way, he let them to believe lies and listen to the wrong voices. He uses also other people for this purpose.
This is why it’s important to know Yahweh’s Word, to pray and to be a member of a sound church who teaches and helps when you don’t know how to continue with your life. Else you will end in hell, because satan stole your purpose and you didn’t resist. Your purpose is to become a citizen of Yahweh’s Kingdom. Don’t let the satan steal it.
We going to read another story about a field. This one is not told by Yeshua.
We read:
Hebrews 6:7-8
For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from Yahweh; but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned.
The rain is Yahweh’s Word. The field is here a person. Yahweh is the farmer who needs the harvest. The harvest coming from the field are the works of the person. If the harvest is useful for Yahweh you will be blessed. If the harvest is not useful for Yahweh and it is full with thorns and thistles you will be cursed and end in hell.
In the last bible text we don’t find the word field. But it is there. I will show you.
Let’s read:
Galatians 6:8
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
We have here two fields. The flesh is a field and the Spirit is a field.
The flesh is another word for our sinful nature that we have since we are born. This nature comes forth out of a spirit in the person who likes to sin.
The Spirit is another word for a Godly nature that is created in us by the spirit that we receive from Yahweh at the moment we eat the body of Yeshua and drink the blood from Yeshua. This spirit hates sins and only wants to do Yahweh’s Will.
The Holy Spirit is our helper and teacher. The Holy Spirit is in connection with your new sinless spirit.
The flesh is a field that gives a useless harvest. Yahweh can’t do anything with it. You will be cursed if the flesh is your field. The Spirit is a field that gives a useful harvest. Yahweh is very pleased with this harvest and you will be blessed with eternal life.
In Galatians 5 we find the fruits, or harvest, that comes from the field spirit.
Let us read it:
Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
We can conclude that the Word of Yahweh is a seed in us that teach us to bring good works forth. The good works are the fruits. Yeshua is making a nation for Yahweh’s Kingdom who is doing the good works. The nation of Yahweh’s Kingdom is also a harvest. Before we are born we are already be destined to be part of Yahweh’s nation. We have to make sure that we stay on the road to our original destination, because satan wants us to get lost and that we forget who we are. We’re born with a sinful nature coming forth out of a sinful spirit in us. When we become partakers of the new covenant by taking the Holy Meal, we receive a new sinless spirit who is in connection with the Holy Spirit. This makes it possible that we do the good works. The good works are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
