The Bible, the written Word of Elohim.
I start today with a story that Yeshua told about the way Elohim’s Words are received by the people and the effect it gives.
Matthew 13:1-9
On that day Yeshua went out of the house and sat by the sea. And great multitudes gathered themselves unto Him, so that He got into a boat, and sat down there, and all the multitude stood upon the shore. And He spoke many things to them in parables, and said, Behold, a sower went forth to sow. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured it. Others fell on stony places, where they had not much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no deep soil. But when the sun rose, it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered. Others fell on thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked it. Others fell on good ground and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
In Matthew 13:18 till 23 Yeshua explains His story.
Matthew 13:18-23
He who has ears, let him hear! You now hear the parable of the sower. To everyone who hears the Word of the Kingdom and does not understand it, the wicked one comes and takes away what was sown in his heart, that which was sown by the wayside. He who was sown on stony places is he who hears the Word and immediately receives it with joy; but he has no root in him, but is one of the moment; but when tribulation or persecution arises because of the Word, immediately he falls. The one sown among thorns is he who hears the Word, and the care of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word, and he becomes barren. He who is sown on good ground is he who hears and understands the Word, who then also bears fruit and yields, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
The Words on the road were stolen by the devil, so that they couldn’t become fruitful. The Words on the rocks were growing, but the person didn’t study the Words well. Result was that they didn’t understand the Words. With the first challenges they became disappointed and blamed Elohim for the bad luck they had in life and didn’t want to know Elohim anymore. The Words between the thorns were growing but the person had more attention for the pleasure and the worries in the world. The person didn’t take Elohim’s Words serious. Result was that the person didn’t had the fruits of the Words of Elohim. To be sure that Elohim’s Words are fruitful in your life you have to study and understand them and take them serious. You have to do what Elohim say. Else the other not good seed will become fruitful. The Words on good ground are studied, understood and taken as Truth, that’s why they become fruitful.
It will take time before you see the results of Elohim’s Words. They’re like seed. You have to wait till it grows and become a plant and wait even more before you can see the flowers and the fruits. So be patient and wait for the fruit. It will come.
Let's read a verse in 2 Timothy 3.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is breathed out by Elohim, and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
All Scripture is just a difficult word for the Bible, Elohim’s written Word. In Timothy you can read that Elohim spoke out the Words before they’re written down. He breathed the Words out. They came like a breath out of the mouth of Elohim. And it’s good to study these Words because they will help you in life. They help you to become a good person. They help you to know which choices you make in life, they help you to come close to God, the Father, Adonai. Because the better you understand His Will, the more obedient you become. The more you will experience God’s presence.
We go now to another text.
Psalm 119:105
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
It’s saying pretty much the same. Elohim’s Word works like a lamp in your life. If you know and use the Words of Elohim, you will see where you have to put your foot to take the next step in your journey of life. You know how to do good, how to make the right choices, how to come closer to God, the Father, Adonai, how to become obedient to Yahweh.
In Matthew 4 verse 4 we read why it’s important to know and to do the Words of Elohim.
Matthew 4:4
But He answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of Elohim.’”
If we want to live we must not only eat, but we also must read and hear the Words of Elohim. Yeshua is here talking about the eternal life with Yeshua and Yahweh in His Kingdom. If you want to be in the Kingdom of Yahweh. You have to love Yahweh and you do that by doing His Will. Yahweh’s Will you only can know by studying His Words.
