The True Gospel
1 Chronicles 17:11-14
And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: but I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
Luke 1:31-33
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Yeshua. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord YHWH shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
The inhabitants of Israel, also called Jews, have been oppressed for years. There were many rulers and many of them were also taken as captives to other countries. In Jesus' time, it were the Romans who oppressed Israel. The people of Israel had a living hope. YHWH had promised David that one of his descendants would sit on the throne forever. He would deliver them from the oppressors. He would be the son of YHWH and build the house of YHWH. And YHWH has also said that he will not break this promise. This King will be just, bring peace and prosperity. This King will be very wise and he will heal people. He would even calm the sea. When he ascends the throne, he will enter Jerusalem on an ass. This man was called the Messiah, but even more often he was called the son of David because he was one of the sons of David.
Many inhabitants wondered if Yeshua was the son of David. Mary and Joseph, the father and mother of Yeshua, both had David the king of Israel as ancestor. Jesus did many healings. He caused a raging sea to become calm, and they had heard from others that a voice from the sky had said that Jesus is his beloved son. This voice was from YHWH. This was during the baptism of Yeshua. And when Yeshua came into Jerusalem riding on an ass, they all thought that he would sit on David's throne and deliver them from their oppressors. They cried, Hosanna, blessed is He who comes, the King, in the name of the Lord. And they were happy and celebrated. (Hosanna means "do help!", "do save!", "save now!", "give salvation!")
Zechariah 9:9
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
John 12:14-16
And Yeshua, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. These things His disciples did not understand at first: but when Yeshua was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
But Yeshua did not sit on the throne of David. He will not do that until later when he comes back. Then He will reign forever on the throne.
There was no benefit for Yeshua to sit immediately on the throne. This has two reasons. No sinners were allowed to enter His Kingdom. And since no one is without sin ( Ecclesiates 7:2 ), there would be no one in his Kingdom to rule over. That is the reason why Yeshua went on the cross, to die in our place for our sins. All people who believe that Yeshua, the Son of YHWH, is the eternal King, the Messiah, and who believe that they are sinners and need the sacrifice of Yeshua to receive forgiveness from YHWH and are willing to accept the will of YHWH, the Father, are now welcome in His Kingdom.
Revelation 11:15
Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah; and He will reign forever and ever.”
( In a lot of bible translations is written kingdoms, but that is wrong translated. We are here talking about the kingdom of Satan and the Kingdom of Yeshua, the Messiah. )
Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our YHWH, and the power of his Messiah: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our YHWH day and night.
And yet Yeshua, after rising from the dead, still did not sit on the throne. And this is because Yeshua not only wanted to rule over a few people, mostly Jews in His Kingdom, but He wanted to rule over many people coming from over the whole world. He now sits next to his Father YHWH, on the right hand and He waits until enough people are allowed to enter the Kingdom and until He has enough viceroys to rule. It is only YHWH, His Father, who knows when the time has come. But when the time comes, He will defeat our accuser and oppressor, He will sit on the throne and the people who believe in Him will be welcome in his Kingdom. In this Kingdom there will be no war, no pain, no hunger or thirst, no disease and not even death. It will be peace and no one will lack anything. He will rule His Kingdom together with YHWH His Father.
So let us end with the beautiful words written in Revelation.
Revelation 21:1-7
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from YHWH out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and YHWH himself shall be with them, and be their God. And YHWH shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his YHWH, and he shall be my son.
Revelation 22:3-5
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of YHWH and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: and they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord YHWH giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
